The southern Chinese island province of Hainan reported 49.5 billion yuan of offshore duty-free shopping in 2021, up 80% year on year, with more than 70 million items bought by 6.72 million shoppers.

【知识点】
离岛免税政策是指对乘飞机、火车、轮船离岛（不包括离境）乘客实施限值、限量、限品种免入口税购物，在履行离岛免税政策的免税商店内或经批准的网上发卖窗口付款，在机场、火车站、港口码头指定区域提货离岛的税收优惠政策。离岛免税政策免税税种为关税、入口环节增值税和消费税。
2011年3月24日，中国财政部发布了《关于开展海南离岛乘客免税购物政策试点的公告》。2011年4月20日起，海南履行“离岛免税”政策。2020年6月1日，党中心、***印发《海南自由贸易港培植总体方案》，提出“放宽离岛免税购物额度至每年每人10万元，扩大免税商品种类”， 自2020年7月1日起履行。
截至目前，海南离岛免税经营主体共5家，离岛免税店共10家，各免税店品牌进驻数量超过720个。海南离岛免税品品牌、品种、价格加快与国际同步，为消费者供应了更多购物选择。
